Winter recently started trying to self soothe by pushing her feet against my leg and "bouncing" (while laying down). Another "totally opposite of Grey" trait to add to the growing list.
She is also crying every night before sleep. Not alone. Not in her crib. With me. She wont want to nurse or be rocked or have her paci. She just cries. Teri (my Doula) has suggested reflux or silent reflux. She does spit up quite a bit. But I also wonder if maybe she is one of these kids who just needs to let off some steam before falling asleep? So I have taken to laying with her. Rubbing her back while she cries. Then eventually she will nurse for like, TWO minutes and be out like a light.
She has also began tummy sleeping. It is her preferred position that she gets into after nursing. I think she is sleeping better this way as well.
Grey, while loud and full of energy, is also a little love bug. He had a fever of 103 on Friday, which went down with Tylenol and never came back. Totally random. He did tie dye at school last week and his shirt turned out really cool. I love all of the positive feedback that I get about him from school. He is so caring and sensitive. His little "best friend" Cannon has moved to a new school. We have play dates, which is great...I think not having him at school anymore is a good thing for Grey. They were really attached to eachother. Without Cannon, Grey has branched out more, made new friends, has really gotten to know some of the other kids. Unfortunately, when I ask him about school and who he had fun playing with, what they did, etc...his answer is always, "Nothing, we didn't play nothing. No more talking Mom." *sigh* He's a teenager in a 4 year olds body.
One of the mom's told me other day that her daughter was saying she only likes to play with the girls. And the only boys she likes are her daddy, her brothers...and Greyson! Hehehe, I guess he is quite the charmer.
The photos to the right are some random photos from my mobile.
